✿ Drugstore Makeup Review ✿

♡ Face ♡

Neutrogena Shine Control Makeup SPF 20, Natural Ivory 20

It has decent coverage. It covers most of my redness and acne. Not much with blackheads though. Pigments are good and blends pretty well for my skin. It does a okay job on 'shine control' part, though it is not long lasting. It is matte when you first put it on. My skin normally starts getting oily again about 4-5 hours later. I feel like it gets a bit cakey when you reapply or apply 2+ layers of it. One of my favorite thing about this product is that I don't normally break out after using this product. Although I like it, I want to try more drugstore foundations and come back to this one again so I put that I'd maybe buy again below.
✿ 8.3/10 ✿
✿ Maybe buy again ✿

Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick, 330 Toffee Caramel

I bought this foundation for contouring my face. It is easy to apply and it applies smoothly. Only thing that I had a bit of a problem with is that for some reason, everytime I use this, I end up breaking out. I know it's because of this product for sure because it only happens on the areas I apply it to. I'll probably give another foundation stick a try since this one isn't very compatible with my face.

✿ Probably not buy again ✿

♡ Eyes ♡

Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Eye Liner Trio Nude Collection

I love this eyeliner. It doesn't smudge easily. It smoothly glides on your eyes without any problem. I bought this when I was looking for a black eyeliner. I had no expectations of it before, but when I used it, I automatically found out how amazing it is. I only took a picture of the two liners out of three because I don't use the other one very well so I have no clue where it is now... I don't think it is 24 hour lasting or is waterproof though. I like to use this when I waterline my eyes, drawing a guide line before I put on liquid eyeliner, and filling in the eyeliner drawn on my eyelids.  To be honest, I had no clue there was a sharpener at the end until I looked for info on this like today, haha.

✿ Would buy again ✿

Milani Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil, 01 Black

I had heard so many good things about this brand so I finally bought makeup from this brand a while ago. This eyeliner is good. It is very long lasting. Compared to the Physician's Formula liner above, it glides on a little less smooth. It's has a little bit of dry feeling to it. It disappointed me that it smudges so easily and quickly. I have used this to waterline and for my eyelids before and it smudged on my bottom lid and tear duct super fast.
✿ 8.2/10 ✿
✿ Maybe buy again ✿

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner, 01 Black Vinyl

This brand's liners are always on monolid's must buy makeup lists for some reason so I had high hopes for this liquid eyeliner as well. It is very long lasting. It stays true to it's colors.  It is a little bit of waiting when you first put it on. It stays on very well once it is dry though. But as much as I was hoping I'd like this product, I didn't like it so much. When I'm taking off my makeup, for some reason, this one flakes (I'm not sure how to describe it.) off? I know you might say it is long lasting and that's why it does that when you take it off. BUT this has no excuse whatsoever because I have other liquid liners that lasts about as long as this liner, but it has never flaked off for me. It irritates my eyes when the flake goes inside. :-( It is a bit hard to make a super fine tip with this liner.

✿ Probably not buy again ✿

Milani Runway Eyes Wet/Dry Eyeshadow, #16 Peaches & Cream

A normal eyeshadow. It's nothing special really. It's not super good, but it isn't super bad either. Only reason I bought it was because this shade was so so SO pretty. I love the other shades as well. It is so cute. It does have a lot of glitter on top and I've learned that it is only like that on the top layer. I'm so glad the packaging better than how cheap it looks. It looks like it would break easily or open easily, but suprisingly, it is stronger than it looks.

✿ Maybe buy again ✿

Cover Girl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil, 310 Red Hot Flame

One of the makeup tutorials I'm planning on requires dark pink & red-ish shade so I was looking all over the place at CVS trying to find the right red shade for it. There was no good eyeshadow and as I almost left feeling disappointed, I found this! It's not too bad. The shade is a nice shade of red. It's not too dark nor too light. If you want a darker shade, you could just reapply it over and you get the shade you want. Sometimes it doesn't like to apply well, like it doesn't apply all of a sudden, then after a couple tries, it works again. It smudges okay. It is just a all around a safe product if you're looking for a basic red shadow pencil.
✿ 8/10 ✿
✿ Probably not buy again ✿

Duo Eyelash Adhesive

This is the second eyelash glue I've tried and I really like this. I'm almost running out as well so I'm probably buying this again. I feel like this is one of the best eyelash glue out there. It makes your eyelashes stay on well as long as you apply the right amount on the right way. One thing I dislike about this is that it gets harder to control what comes out of it as you use more. Sometimes when I'm squeezing it not even fast, it forms a bubble at the ends all of a sudden and pops, which dirties my lashes. Sometimes it likes to clump up a lot at the same time when you squeeze. I've gotten used to this though. Other than that, I'm happy with this product~

✿ Probably would buy again ✿

♡ Lips ♡

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm, 95 Strike a Rose

I love the baby lips lines. This is one of my favorite shades ever. It compliments my skin very well. I have Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me which I would have given 9.5/10. I had high hopes for this one as well. Although it is a lip balm, it is a bit dry. If you compare this with regular baby lips line which was super hydrating, I feel like it is a lot more drier. I like to put on EOS lip balm before I put this on. The shade is so lovely, I am so in love with the color. It reminds me of Chun Song Yi from My Love From Another Star's rosey lips. I don't know what the scent is, but it smells very nice as well. I had no problem with it but my friend who also uses this mentioned that it sometimes doesn't cover fine lines/wrinkles on your lips very well. (She loves it though.)

♡ Galaxy S3 Bunny Phone Case Review ♡

Happy friday everyone~ Recently, I've ordered a quite a lot of things from Ebay. One of the things that finally arrived today is a cute bunny phone case! I was planning on making a review of it when everything all arrived but I just couldn't hold myself back.

This case is so adorable. I've been needing a case for my phone for a while. I'm super picky about it, so it took me forever to just decide on buying this. But I'm really glad I did. It looks exactly as it is shown on the picture. The color is very vibrant and lovely.

+
The seller was nice and helpful! I made a mistake on my address so I had to message her. She was quick on the reply and fixing the problem. :)

It was $5.79 at Ebay. I've ordered it on March 8th and it arrived today, March 21st, which was quicker than the estimated delivery date (March 24th ~ April 10th). It arrived in a decent condition, with certain parts of the case a little scratched and crushed on the front left edges. By crushed, I mean like a little bit, not much. It's not very noticeable. Some edges such as the sides, is not finished perfectly. I don't mind it though.
One of the things that really annoys me is the scent. At first, I was okay with it because it happened with my other silicone case that I've ordered on Ebay before, which faded away very quickly after wash. I washed it with soap and dried it, then sprayed Febreze on it, and dried it out in the sun. It still has the strong weird silicone smell and it's giving me a headache now. ( ; ~ ; )

Overall, I think I got a little better quality than I've expected, judging from it's price and I'm satisfied with the purchase! I just hope the smell goes away soon. ( ; A ; )

8/10

I'll be back soon with more Ebay reviews as soon as they're here! (Red Cherry lashes, Denim circle skirt, Amore Pacific Primera Peeling Gel samples, Chain necklace, etc.)

✿ tips to having a better and clear skin ✿

As a teenager, I think a problem we all deal with is having acnes and blemishes on our skin.
Although I still do deal with this problem, it's gotten a lot better compared to a couple years back.
So today, I'm here with a couple tips for fighting off acnes, having healthier skin, and having smaller pores! Some of them are my advices to you, some are based off things I've read that was helpful.

Tip 1
Wash Your Face

Washing your face is super important.
Wash not too often to dry your face off, but enough to keep your face from getting oily. I know it's very hard to fight the urge to put it off to tomorrow morning and such if you're tired or stressed or lazy. But there's possibilities of breaking out overnight, so try to not procrastinate on this. When you wear makeup, make sure you have it COMPLETELY off. Wash your face a couple of times with a soap (I recommend all natural soap!) and a cleanser. Washing your face in a right way is also important. When you wash your face, don't rub your face hard. Draw circles around your face. Also, wash your face with lukewarm water. And for cleanser, I would recommend to avoid using cleansing oil if you have a lot of acne.
My routine is: Makeup Remover Sheet -> Cleanser -> All Natural Soap -> Toner -> Lotion.

 Tip 2
Dirty Hands Off Your Face

What a lot of people with acne have in common is a habit of constantly touching face. I also have that habit. Nowadays, I try really hard not to. When you want to pop a pimple, don't do it with your hands especially if they're not clean. If you absolutely can't break this habit, then at least wash your hands often. This is a basic tip that I'm sure everyone's been told, but it's super hard to resist not to.

 Tip 3
Protect Your Skin From Sun

Sunscreen and sun creams are a must, no matter what the weather and time of the year. You should always put on sunscreen or sun cream. Even if it's cloudy and it looks like there's not much sun, UV rays are always there. The more UV rays your skin is exposed to, the darker your acne or acne scars will become and plus, it makes your skin age faster.

 Tip 4
Don't Pop Everything

When you're popping a pimple, there's couple things you need to make sure you do. You should use a Q tip that's been sanitized. What I do is put hydrogen peroxide on the q tip, pop the pimple, then gently rub it with another q tip with hydrogen peroxide on it. Also, you should only pop pimples that have yellow pus on the end. Don't touch or pop it if it doesn't, you're most likely to make it worse.

 Tip 5
Drink Lots of Water

Water is very helpful. Of course, it's not going to magically make your acne disappear,
but it's a lot of help if you want your acne scar away. I suggest drinking about 8 full cups of water everyday. It's healthy for your skin and body. Make a habit of drinking lots of water and it will help you!
Less soda, more water.

 Tip 6
Green Tea For Your Skin

Green tea teabags are effective when it comes to calming redness and blemishes. First, make a tea with the green tea teabag. Drink the tea. When you're done, squeeze about 70% of the water on the tea bag. Then put in refrigerator until it's cool. Take it out and put it on your cheeks (or anywhere else you want. it's only an example, since that's where I put mine.) Leave it on and flip it to the other side if it gets warm. 20~30 minutes seems like enough time to leave it on. It won't take effect if you only do it once or twice. It does help in calming redness on your face.

I hope these helped~ I came by a little earlier than I planned for you all!
I am assuming I probably won't be here for another week because of studying for finals,
so I didn't want to let you guys down on the promise that I'll be back in 2014!
(Although I haven't said when in 2014, lmao.)
When I'm back from the finals, I'll be back with a couple makeup tutorials so stick with me

♡ i'm back ♡

Hey guys!
I know I always procrastinate on posting and is always late.. ; ~ ;
This time, I actually have a legitamate excuse ok.
After my last post, I decided to use my laptop and my laptop just kinda messed up.
Also I've been horribly busy with moving to a new area and such,
so I haven't been able to go online at all except social networking.

I've thought about deleting this blog or what not,
because I'm so irresponsible and I didn't have money to buy a new laptop.

BUT the good news is that
I now own a macbook and I will be back in 2014♡

I promise, promise, promise that starting from 2014,
I will come back with new posts and the posts I've promised before.
I hope you guys had a merry merry Christmas and also have a happy new year!

♡ 25 random facts about me ♡

Hey you ♡♡♡
Sorry I haven't been active on blogspot for couple of weeks.. I was really stressed out lately because of school and such, completely forgetting about blogspot. :-(
So today, I'm going to be posting 25 random facts about me, I was going to do 50 facts but I like to make my facts long and babble on so I reduced it to half.

1) I don't have a quality where I'm exceptionally good at, except art. I don't feel too confident about it though.

2) I'm really self-centered. I've been told several times by my mom over the years and I agree with her. I don't think it's a bad thing though because aren't everyone selfish atleast a little bit? What's wrong with putting yourself over others? I think it's not a bad thing at all, it's not like I don't care about anybody else, I just put my happiness over other's.

3) I LOVE Block B and I'm a BBC. They mean so much to me and they're my favorite group ever. I was sobbing when I first listened to their comeback song, Be The Light. They're so amazing and have been through so much, I'm so proud of them. I'm so in love with Block B and nothing can change that. Do you wanna b? Block B♡

4) I have this anxiety where if I make a plan with someone (to meet me somewhere, go to their house, etc.) and they do not pick up their phone or answer me at the time of the plan, I start to feel really scared. I don't know if it's anxiety but I don't really know any other way to put it. I get really cranky, scared, irritated, and get these weird butterflies in my stomach and it makes me want to cry.

5) I'm terrified of spiders.

6) I've never had a boyfriend lmfao. It sucks because every boy I like, likes someone else or probably thinks I'm gross looking..

7) I love fashion, I have a folder on my laptop where I save bunch of cute outfits or any inspirational outfits where I'll think of an OOTD based off of it.

8) I also really like Exo. I didn't really like them, due to me disliking Wolf by Exo ((I do like it, I just dislike certain parts to the song)), but then I listened to Growl and loved it so much so I became a huge fan of theirs. I love them all but I do have a bias. My absolute favorite bias are Chanyeol and Sehun. But Luhan is also one of my bias as well.

9) Speaking of bias, my bias of Block B is Zico. Zico is the reason why I started listening to Block B, due to his mixtapes. My favorite mixtape by him is Cocks ♡ Totally recommend!

10) I am kinda bad at making friends. I am moving soon so idk how that's gonna turn out lmao.

11) I used to have a low self esteem and hated myself. I kept telling myself I hate everything about me. I couldn't look in the mirror without feeling like I was the most unattractive girl in the world. Until I stopped. Now, it's different. I still have my days where I feel ugly but I can honestly look in the mirror and say I love myself. I love my personality and face and body.

12) I am really lazy.

13) I zone out a lot and I take frequent naps. I am pretty good at the art of napping during a class.

14) My ideal type of guy is someone who has a great sense of humor like mine, makes me happy, smiles cutely, thinks positively, and is considerate. I think Seo In Guk is pretty close to that. When I watched Answer Me 1997, I fell in love. I love his voice and face. What I mean by smiles cutely, I meant the eyes. Like when someone's smiling and their eyes look like they're smiling too? Does that even make sense omg.

15) On my current wishlist is thigh highs, creepers, sweatpants, cardigans, Vans, beanies, walkers, kigurumis, platform sandals, t-shirts, etude house rosy tint lips, wolf 88 t-shirt, and Block B poster.

16) My favorite brand of clothings are Brandy Melville, Acne, Boy London, American Apparel, Been Trill, Stussy, and idk what else. Although I love them, I hardly own any of those brand clothes because I'm too poor. :-(

17) I used to be really stupid by being proud of myself for not wearing makeup in 7th grade. I thought I was so much better than other girls because I was not like ""other girls"". That was when I was hella dumb, so don't judge me. Now I realize that's so dumb and you should just do you and let others do them, no one's better than anyone. Now I wear makeup and I like it.

18) I am allergic to cats. Yes, it's sad, I know. I'm also allergic to short spiky dog hair too. But luckly, not all dog hair, because I'm a huge lover of dogs. I have a weak spot for shiba inus and schnauzers.

19) I am currently trying to learn the dance for Growl - Exo. I should also mention that I'm the world's worst dancer ever. No rhythmic senses, no flexibility at all, no good memorization of the dance moves.. It's been about 5 days since I started and I've only learned like 3 moves out of the whole song..

20) My birth place is in Incheon, South Korea. I lived in Incheon for 10 years and moved to Washington with my mom and stepdad.

21) I love anime and manga. My favorite anime is Code Geass and Shingeki No Kyoujin/Attack On Titan. My favorite manga is Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu, Tonari no Atashi, Heroine Shikkaku, Bokura Ga Ita, Say I Love You, Strobe Edge, and Bitou Lollipop.

22) I also enjoy watching Korean movies, romance and/or drama Japanese movies, and just movies in general. My favorite Korean movies are A Werewolf Boy, Secretly Greatly, 300 Pounds of Beauty, and idk what else. My favorite romance and/or drama Japanese movies are

23) I have lots of lip products because my lips get hella chapped around October~February.

24) I'm dyeing my hair ash brown-ish color today! I'm so excited!

25) I will be posting more often now that I kinda got a hang of school and all that.♡

karen's k-pop song recommendations (◡‿ ◡✿)

Hey cutiepies!
Today I will be doing a recommendation post of K-Pop songs!
If you guys didn't know already, I'm actually Korean.
I know that because I know the language, I'm able to enjoy it with understanding what they're saying, but most of you don't. However, I believe that music is just enjoying what you hear, no matter what the language is.
I think many people know the existence of K-Pop due to the popular song Gangnam Style by Psy. I think it's really great that people are getting to know K-Pop more and are widely known.
There's many songs that you may have never heard of and I want to let you all know how great K-Pop is.
This is kind of a biased list, but I hope you all enjoy (。◕‿◕。✿)

❁ Karen's Advice About Confidence & Loving Yourself ❁

Hi, hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've made a blogspot post, I'm sorry I'm not around as often as I should be. :-(
I've been really busy with school and homework and such. How are you guys doing?
Okay, so I've been seeing a lot of depressed tweets and posts lately and I thought of making this for you all.
Being depressed, hating yourself, having no confidence is so commonly found in teenagers these days.
I know how it feels, because I used to be like that as well. But I'm not like that anymore.
I'm still not completely confident, but I'm A LOT better than how I was before. I know it's really hard to change your mindset completely. So I'd like to share with you a couple of advices/rules I follow to all how I did it, the confidence and loving myself. THIS IS REALLY LONG BTW!

♡ Rule N'1 : If You Don't Let It Happen, It Will Never Happen ♡

First off, if you want to start loving who you are, you have to let it happen. You could have everyone around you tell you compliments, but if you don't accept it or believe it even a tiny bit, it is completely meaningless. You have to let people give a shit about you and you have to let yourself give a shit about you. If you don't let it happen, loving yourself is impossible. Open your heart. You're a lovely person. What matters the most in this process is that you should be able to look in the mirror and let yourself accept that this is who you are and you're a great freaking person. This is you. You can't be anyone else even if you wanted to. You're going to be in this body all your life and that should be a good thing to you. If you don't think so, make it happen. No one knows the future. Wouldn't it be really sad if we all died tomorrow and the opinion of yourself before you die is just hatred? I wouldn't want to feel that way. I would want to die loving myself atleast.

♡ Rule N'2 : Change Or Accept ♡

I can't bullshit you and tell you everyone is beautiful to me. But I will tell you that there are no one who is unable to become beautiful, only lazy. That's something my mom has always told me. If you don't like what you see, change it. You don't like your curly hair? Go to a hair salon and change that. You don't like your weight? Set a diet plan and work out. You don't like being bony and skinny? Set a eating plan and gain weight. You don't like your oily acne filled skin? Use many natural products and wash your face more often. There's solutions to many of our problems. Then there are problems where we can't completely fix and you're stuck with them. For example, you are stuck with the freckles on your face. (If you don't want to get surgery on that. I think there is one for that, I'm not sure?) Tell yourself every morning or afternoon or night or anytime you remember them, think of them as a part of you. They're a cute part of you. You may not like it, but someone else may think they're the loveliest things ever. Okay, last part of this rule is don't ever think that you don't have the power to change yourself. Stop it. Stop thinking like that. You can do it. You can change your weight, how you dress, how you think, and anything else you put your mind to. Don't sit and be depressed about how it will always be the same. No, it fucking won't, as long as you give it a go. Don't tell yourself "It's not easy, it's too hard, I can't ever do that, I can't ever be like her/him." No, that's so not true. EVERYONE has the will power to become who they put their mind to, as long as they try hard enough to do that.

♡ Rule N'3 : Don't Rely On Compliments Too Much ♡

The point of this post is not trying to make other people like you, it's trying to make you like yourself.
I'm trying to tell you exactly what it says, don't rely on compliments too much. Compliments are very nice. I love when people compliment on my outfit and hair and makeup, etc. However, don't let it affect you to a point where you're doing things to get compliments from others. Your own happiness should be the motivation, not compliments. Besides, if you let people's compliments build who you are, you will be broken by their criticism as well.

♡ Rule N'4 : Don't Let Anyone's Opinion Affect You ♡

It's easier said than done. I know that, and I'm still trying to work on this as well. I've been trying for a long time now and I still don't completely do this. However, I can tell you that I've been worse and judging how I am now, I am so much better, although I can't say I am able to do this 24/7. High School is really tough and everyone is really self conscious about what everyone else thinks of them. There will be people who hate you for no apparent reason at all, who hate you for how you carry yourself, dress, talk, walk, and anything else imaginable. You can't convince them to like you most of the time. They're just going to keep being a bully and a hurtful person. Think of it this way, if you let it hurt you, you're letting that person win. They can't win if you literally don't care about their opinion at all. Wear what you want, Be who you want, Date who you want, Love what you want, but make sure to do it with confidence.

♡ Rule N'5 : Good Vibes, Stay Positive, Choose Happiness ♡

For all of these to happen, you have to stay positive. If there's someone, like a friend or coworker or acquaintance or whatever, who makes you feel bad about yourself, your body, the way you carry yourself, etc. then CUT THEM OFF OUT OF YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW. IMMEDIATELY. If that doesn't work, ignore them as much as possible. I've had friends in the past who gave off bad vibes around me all the time. I let it affect me. She isn't my friend anymore. When I look back, I think of so many times where I was hurt by her and her words and think to myself, I should've cut her off long time ago. People who bring you down, kick them out of your life. You should be able to love who you are as a person without having anyone close to you bother that process. This is kind of random but I've never actually cut myself, no matter how depressed I was. (Although once I attempted to. I'm not proud of it at all.) I'm so sorry for people in the world who've been so hurt by others, that they decide to hurt themselves. Please stop. I know it's tough. You are capable of throwing that blade or any weapon you use, and say fuck you and never look back. You are capable of so much more. You're all beautiful beings, we all fuck up. Hurting yourself or hating yourself isn't going to help any of the problems you're experiencing. Choose happiness, instead of loathing yourself and wallowing in self pity. If you choose the second choice, then you are choosing to make your own life miserable. You are in charge of how you're feeling today, and you're going to choose happiness. Everyone has those bad days and everyone has a time where they are not happy with what they see in the mirror. But only difference with loving yourself is that those times are only temporary. Life sucks and it gives us a hard time sometimes where we dislike ourselves or become sad, but living doesn't suck. Actually, it's amazing. Your mindset changes everything. You are the master of your own fate and you're the captain of your own soul. You've had enough of what everyone wants you to be, you're going to do what your heart tells you to do. Don't let sadness control you and how you view yourself, love.

Love ya all & you are all mega babes ♡♡♡♡♡
