karen's k-pop song recommendations (◡‿ ◡✿)

Hey cutiepies!
Today I will be doing a recommendation post of K-Pop songs!
If you guys didn't know already, I'm actually Korean.
I know that because I know the language, I'm able to enjoy it with understanding what they're saying, but most of you don't. However, I believe that music is just enjoying what you hear, no matter what the language is.
I think many people know the existence of K-Pop due to the popular song Gangnam Style by Psy. I think it's really great that people are getting to know K-Pop more and are widely known.
There's many songs that you may have never heard of and I want to let you all know how great K-Pop is.
This is kind of a biased list, but I hope you all enjoy (。◕‿◕。✿)

❁ Karen's Advice About Confidence & Loving Yourself ❁

Hi, hello everyone!
It's been a while since I've made a blogspot post, I'm sorry I'm not around as often as I should be. :-(
I've been really busy with school and homework and such. How are you guys doing?
Okay, so I've been seeing a lot of depressed tweets and posts lately and I thought of making this for you all.
Being depressed, hating yourself, having no confidence is so commonly found in teenagers these days.
I know how it feels, because I used to be like that as well. But I'm not like that anymore.
I'm still not completely confident, but I'm A LOT better than how I was before. I know it's really hard to change your mindset completely. So I'd like to share with you a couple of advices/rules I follow to all how I did it, the confidence and loving myself. THIS IS REALLY LONG BTW!

♡ Rule N'1 : If You Don't Let It Happen, It Will Never Happen ♡

First off, if you want to start loving who you are, you have to let it happen. You could have everyone around you tell you compliments, but if you don't accept it or believe it even a tiny bit, it is completely meaningless. You have to let people give a shit about you and you have to let yourself give a shit about you. If you don't let it happen, loving yourself is impossible. Open your heart. You're a lovely person. What matters the most in this process is that you should be able to look in the mirror and let yourself accept that this is who you are and you're a great freaking person. This is you. You can't be anyone else even if you wanted to. You're going to be in this body all your life and that should be a good thing to you. If you don't think so, make it happen. No one knows the future. Wouldn't it be really sad if we all died tomorrow and the opinion of yourself before you die is just hatred? I wouldn't want to feel that way. I would want to die loving myself atleast.

♡ Rule N'2 : Change Or Accept ♡

I can't bullshit you and tell you everyone is beautiful to me. But I will tell you that there are no one who is unable to become beautiful, only lazy. That's something my mom has always told me. If you don't like what you see, change it. You don't like your curly hair? Go to a hair salon and change that. You don't like your weight? Set a diet plan and work out. You don't like being bony and skinny? Set a eating plan and gain weight. You don't like your oily acne filled skin? Use many natural products and wash your face more often. There's solutions to many of our problems. Then there are problems where we can't completely fix and you're stuck with them. For example, you are stuck with the freckles on your face. (If you don't want to get surgery on that. I think there is one for that, I'm not sure?) Tell yourself every morning or afternoon or night or anytime you remember them, think of them as a part of you. They're a cute part of you. You may not like it, but someone else may think they're the loveliest things ever. Okay, last part of this rule is don't ever think that you don't have the power to change yourself. Stop it. Stop thinking like that. You can do it. You can change your weight, how you dress, how you think, and anything else you put your mind to. Don't sit and be depressed about how it will always be the same. No, it fucking won't, as long as you give it a go. Don't tell yourself "It's not easy, it's too hard, I can't ever do that, I can't ever be like her/him." No, that's so not true. EVERYONE has the will power to become who they put their mind to, as long as they try hard enough to do that.

♡ Rule N'3 : Don't Rely On Compliments Too Much ♡

The point of this post is not trying to make other people like you, it's trying to make you like yourself.
I'm trying to tell you exactly what it says, don't rely on compliments too much. Compliments are very nice. I love when people compliment on my outfit and hair and makeup, etc. However, don't let it affect you to a point where you're doing things to get compliments from others. Your own happiness should be the motivation, not compliments. Besides, if you let people's compliments build who you are, you will be broken by their criticism as well.

♡ Rule N'4 : Don't Let Anyone's Opinion Affect You ♡

It's easier said than done. I know that, and I'm still trying to work on this as well. I've been trying for a long time now and I still don't completely do this. However, I can tell you that I've been worse and judging how I am now, I am so much better, although I can't say I am able to do this 24/7. High School is really tough and everyone is really self conscious about what everyone else thinks of them. There will be people who hate you for no apparent reason at all, who hate you for how you carry yourself, dress, talk, walk, and anything else imaginable. You can't convince them to like you most of the time. They're just going to keep being a bully and a hurtful person. Think of it this way, if you let it hurt you, you're letting that person win. They can't win if you literally don't care about their opinion at all. Wear what you want, Be who you want, Date who you want, Love what you want, but make sure to do it with confidence.

♡ Rule N'5 : Good Vibes, Stay Positive, Choose Happiness ♡

For all of these to happen, you have to stay positive. If there's someone, like a friend or coworker or acquaintance or whatever, who makes you feel bad about yourself, your body, the way you carry yourself, etc. then CUT THEM OFF OUT OF YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW. IMMEDIATELY. If that doesn't work, ignore them as much as possible. I've had friends in the past who gave off bad vibes around me all the time. I let it affect me. She isn't my friend anymore. When I look back, I think of so many times where I was hurt by her and her words and think to myself, I should've cut her off long time ago. People who bring you down, kick them out of your life. You should be able to love who you are as a person without having anyone close to you bother that process. This is kind of random but I've never actually cut myself, no matter how depressed I was. (Although once I attempted to. I'm not proud of it at all.) I'm so sorry for people in the world who've been so hurt by others, that they decide to hurt themselves. Please stop. I know it's tough. You are capable of throwing that blade or any weapon you use, and say fuck you and never look back. You are capable of so much more. You're all beautiful beings, we all fuck up. Hurting yourself or hating yourself isn't going to help any of the problems you're experiencing. Choose happiness, instead of loathing yourself and wallowing in self pity. If you choose the second choice, then you are choosing to make your own life miserable. You are in charge of how you're feeling today, and you're going to choose happiness. Everyone has those bad days and everyone has a time where they are not happy with what they see in the mirror. But only difference with loving yourself is that those times are only temporary. Life sucks and it gives us a hard time sometimes where we dislike ourselves or become sad, but living doesn't suck. Actually, it's amazing. Your mindset changes everything. You are the master of your own fate and you're the captain of your own soul. You've had enough of what everyone wants you to be, you're going to do what your heart tells you to do. Don't let sadness control you and how you view yourself, love.

Love ya all & you are all mega babes ♡♡♡♡♡

.・゜゜・autumn wishlist/must haves ・゜゜・.

Summer is over and autumn is here!
It's a season of sweaters, cardigans, pretty colored leaves, halloween, sweatshirts, and pumpkin spice lattes~
It's not super duper cold around where I live yet but some of you lovelies may be freezing right now, so here it is. This is my autumn wishlist and a autumn must haves list combined for you all ♡

[ L O V E L Y  S W E A T E R S ]

( left, middle, right )
Cute warm sweaters are a must for fall! It lets you be cozy all autumn and winter long too.
Aren't everyone in love with cute pastel sweatshirts? Cupcake on on the left is so adorable and cute!
The middle sweatshirt is very sassy and has a good price to it.
Right one looks super cozy, isn't it? I just really love the collar so I had to add to this list, haha.
The one in the left is $59, middle is $22, right is $23!

( top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right )
Since school has started, homecoming is drawing in closer.
I've never gotten a dress really early like a lot of girls at my school and I'm a last minute shopper for homecoming dresses so here it is. I love simplicity in dresses and I'm thinking of buying the one on the bottom right. For ladies who like fancy dresses, I added the top right one for ya. Top left dress' backside is so gorgeous, isn't it? I really want the one on the bottom left too, omg!
Top left and right ones are both $79, bottom left is $29, bottom right is $49.

( left, middle, right )
High waisted jeans have been my fall faves lately. They're so adorable and I didn't think they were that cute until I happened to buy them and saw how it looked on me!
They're very flattering to your body, I strongly recommend them to short girls like me. American Apparel has super expensive and cute ones, but some of them are on sale right now ♡♡♡ (depending on which colors & sizes though) Modcloth also has a very cute & good quality high waisted pants. Forever 21 has cute high waisted jeans as well, and other jeans are really cute and cheap! I may even buy some, hehe♡
Left one is $78/$54 depending on size & color, middle one is $60, right one is $23.

[ C U T E  S H O E S ]

In autumn, I buy most of my shoes because there's more variety to wear in autumn without having to sweat in my shoes due to hot weather or freeze in a cold weather wearing cute shoes.
I think boots are a really easy to just match with your outfits and put on and go.
I've never owned a pair of foldover boots but I think they're so chic. I am so in love with oxfords, omg. I wish I wasn't so picky with oxfords, it's hard to find a pair of oxfords that suit my taste. The oxford on this list is actually currently on my wishlist, I am contemplating whether or not to get it atm. And the last one is a super adorable white creepers!
I really want to get a good quality black or white creepers but they're so expensive like omfg.
Left one is $50, middle one is $40, and the last one is $36.

sephora makeup mini haul (◡‿◡✿)

Hello lovelies!

Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend and stopped by Sephora to get some makeup.  I've been thinking to buy a matte powder foundation-like product that is small and easy to carry around and I found the perfect one.
I thought this would be a good time to write the mini haul/review about it.

First one is Benefit's Hello Flawless Custom Powder Cover-Up For Face in "I Love Me" Ivory.

The packaging is very simple and cute. I love Benefit so I thought I might as well try it out.
When I first tested it out on my skin, I was really suprised at how soft and light it was. My skin didn't feel trapped, I'm really bad at explaining but ya got what I'm saying right? My skin didn't feel super dry like how it was with other products either. This is actually my first powder foundation I've purchased and I'm glad I bought a good one to start with. It provides good enough coverage for me. I wanted something that was very light with good coverage so this was the one for me. I also really like how it has a little compartment for the brush and the sponge, so I could just put it in my makeup bag and take it out without having the struggle to find the brush and all that. It was a little expensive, but considering the quality, I think it was worth it.
So far I'm really loving this powder.

Second product I got is Makeup For Ever's Mist & Fix.

This is another first buy for me. I've never bought a makeup fixer mist before. I have no idea what other mists are like, but I think it works good. It does hold your makeup for a while. It makes my skin feel like it's being sealed and it's a good thing.

Last product I got is Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen.
I got it as a sample and I  love it. I really love the scent, I think it smells like lemon kind of, I'm not sure. I think it gives your lips a nice moisturizing feeling. I love the way it opens up, like how you turn it then lift it up. I think I'm good with the sample and it's size. I take a long time to actually finish a lip balm so yeah. My only wish is that I hope the full size of this balm eventually have lower price because although I really like it, I don't think I'd buy it for a price that's higher than $20.
