✿ Drugstore Makeup Review ✿

♡ Face ♡

Neutrogena Shine Control Makeup SPF 20, Natural Ivory 20

It has decent coverage. It covers most of my redness and acne. Not much with blackheads though. Pigments are good and blends pretty well for my skin. It does a okay job on 'shine control' part, though it is not long lasting. It is matte when you first put it on. My skin normally starts getting oily again about 4-5 hours later. I feel like it gets a bit cakey when you reapply or apply 2+ layers of it. One of my favorite thing about this product is that I don't normally break out after using this product. Although I like it, I want to try more drugstore foundations and come back to this one again so I put that I'd maybe buy again below.

Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick, 330 Toffee Caramel

I bought this foundation for contouring my face. It is easy to apply and it applies smoothly. Only thing that I had a bit of a problem with is that for some reason, everytime I use this, I end up breaking out. I know it's because of this product for sure because it only happens on the areas I apply it to. I'll probably give another foundation stick a try since this one isn't very compatible with my face.

Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Eye Liner Trio Nude Collection

I love this eyeliner. It doesn't smudge easily. It smoothly glides on your eyes without any problem. I bought this when I was looking for a black eyeliner. I had no expectations of it before, but when I used it, I automatically found out how amazing it is. I only took a picture of the two liners out of three because I don't use the other one very well so I have no clue where it is now... I don't think it is 24 hour lasting or is waterproof though. I like to use this when I waterline my eyes, drawing a guide line before I put on liquid eyeliner, and filling in the eyeliner drawn on my eyelids.  To be honest, I had no clue there was a sharpener at the end until I looked for info on this like today, haha.

Milani Easyliner For Eyes Retractable Pencil, 01 Black

I had heard so many good things about this brand so I finally bought makeup from this brand a while ago. This eyeliner is good. It is very long lasting. Compared to the Physician's Formula liner above, it glides on a little less smooth. It's has a little bit of dry feeling to it. It disappointed me that it smudges so easily and quickly. I have used this to waterline and for my eyelids before and it smudged on my bottom lid and tear duct super fast.

Milani Ultrafine Liquid Eye Liner, 01 Black Vinyl

This brand's liners are always on monolid's must buy makeup lists for some reason so I had high hopes for this liquid eyeliner as well. It is very long lasting. It stays true to it's colors.  It is a little bit of waiting when you first put it on. It stays on very well once it is dry though. But as much as I was hoping I'd like this product, I didn't like it so much. When I'm taking off my makeup, for some reason, this one flakes (I'm not sure how to describe it.) off? I know you might say it is long lasting and that's why it does that when you take it off. BUT this has no excuse whatsoever because I have other liquid liners that lasts about as long as this liner, but it has never flaked off for me. It irritates my eyes when the flake goes inside. :-( It is a bit hard to make a super fine tip with this liner.

Milani Runway Eyes Wet/Dry Eyeshadow, #16 Peaches & Cream

A normal eyeshadow. It's nothing special really. It's not super good, but it isn't super bad either. Only reason I bought it was because this shade was so so SO pretty. I love the other shades as well. It is so cute. It does have a lot of glitter on top and I've learned that it is only like that on the top layer. I'm so glad the packaging better than how cheap it looks. It looks like it would break easily or open easily, but suprisingly, it is stronger than it looks.

Cover Girl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil, 310 Red Hot Flame

One of the makeup tutorials I'm planning on requires dark pink & red-ish shade so I was looking all over the place at CVS trying to find the right red shade for it. There was no good eyeshadow and as I almost left feeling disappointed, I found this! It's not too bad. The shade is a nice shade of red. It's not too dark nor too light. If you want a darker shade, you could just reapply it over and you get the shade you want. Sometimes it doesn't like to apply well, like it doesn't apply all of a sudden, then after a couple tries, it works again. It smudges okay. It is just a all around a safe product if you're looking for a basic red shadow pencil.

Duo Eyelash Adhesive

This is the second eyelash glue I've tried and I really like this. I'm almost running out as well so I'm probably buying this again. I feel like this is one of the best eyelash glue out there. It makes your eyelashes stay on well as long as you apply the right amount on the right way. One thing I dislike about this is that it gets harder to control what comes out of it as you use more. Sometimes when I'm squeezing it not even fast, it forms a bubble at the ends all of a sudden and pops, which dirties my lashes. Sometimes it likes to clump up a lot at the same time when you squeeze. I've gotten used to this though. Other than that, I'm happy with this product~

♡ Lips ♡

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm, 95 Strike a Rose

I love the baby lips lines. This is one of my favorite shades ever. It compliments my skin very well. I have Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Me which I would have given 9.5/10. I had high hopes for this one as well. Although it is a lip balm, it is a bit dry. If you compare this with regular baby lips line which was super hydrating, I feel like it is a lot more drier. I like to put on EOS lip balm before I put this on. The shade is so lovely, I am so in love with the color. It reminds me of Chun Song Yi from My Love From Another Star's rosey lips. I don't know what the scent is, but it smells very nice as well. I had no problem with it but my friend who also uses this mentioned that it sometimes doesn't cover fine lines/wrinkles on your lips very well. (She loves it though.)

♡ Galaxy S3 Bunny Phone Case Review ♡

Happy friday everyone~ Recently, I've ordered a quite a lot of things from Ebay. One of the things that finally arrived today is a cute bunny phone case! I was planning on making a review of it when everything all arrived but I just couldn't hold myself back.

This case is so adorable. I've been needing a case for my phone for a while. I'm super picky about it, so it took me forever to just decide on buying this. But I'm really glad I did. It looks exactly as it is shown on the picture. The color is very vibrant and lovely.

+
The seller was nice and helpful! I made a mistake on my address so I had to message her. She was quick on the reply and fixing the problem. :)

It was $5.79 at Ebay. I've ordered it on March 8th and it arrived today, March 21st, which was quicker than the estimated delivery date (March 24th ~ April 10th). It arrived in a decent condition, with certain parts of the case a little scratched and crushed on the front left edges. By crushed, I mean like a little bit, not much. It's not very noticeable. Some edges such as the sides, is not finished perfectly. I don't mind it though.
One of the things that really annoys me is the scent. At first, I was okay with it because it happened with my other silicone case that I've ordered on Ebay before, which faded away very quickly after wash. I washed it with soap and dried it, then sprayed Febreze on it, and dried it out in the sun. It still has the strong weird silicone smell and it's giving me a headache now. ( ; ~ ; )

Overall, I think I got a little better quality than I've expected, judging from it's price and I'm satisfied with the purchase! I just hope the smell goes away soon. ( ; A ; )

8/10

I'll be back soon with more Ebay reviews as soon as they're here! (Red Cherry lashes, Denim circle skirt, Amore Pacific Primera Peeling Gel samples, Chain necklace, etc.)

✿ tips to having a better and clear skin ✿

As a teenager, I think a problem we all deal with is having acnes and blemishes on our skin.
Although I still do deal with this problem, it's gotten a lot better compared to a couple years back.
So today, I'm here with a couple tips for fighting off acnes, having healthier skin, and having smaller pores! Some of them are my advices to you, some are based off things I've read that was helpful.

Tip 1
Wash Your Face

Washing your face is super important.
Wash not too often to dry your face off, but enough to keep your face from getting oily. I know it's very hard to fight the urge to put it off to tomorrow morning and such if you're tired or stressed or lazy. But there's possibilities of breaking out overnight, so try to not procrastinate on this. When you wear makeup, make sure you have it COMPLETELY off. Wash your face a couple of times with a soap (I recommend all natural soap!) and a cleanser. Washing your face in a right way is also important. When you wash your face, don't rub your face hard. Draw circles around your face. Also, wash your face with lukewarm water. And for cleanser, I would recommend to avoid using cleansing oil if you have a lot of acne.
My routine is: Makeup Remover Sheet -> Cleanser -> All Natural Soap -> Toner -> Lotion.

 Tip 2
Dirty Hands Off Your Face

What a lot of people with acne have in common is a habit of constantly touching face. I also have that habit. Nowadays, I try really hard not to. When you want to pop a pimple, don't do it with your hands especially if they're not clean. If you absolutely can't break this habit, then at least wash your hands often. This is a basic tip that I'm sure everyone's been told, but it's super hard to resist not to.

 Tip 3
Protect Your Skin From Sun

Sunscreen and sun creams are a must, no matter what the weather and time of the year. You should always put on sunscreen or sun cream. Even if it's cloudy and it looks like there's not much sun, UV rays are always there. The more UV rays your skin is exposed to, the darker your acne or acne scars will become and plus, it makes your skin age faster.

 Tip 4
Don't Pop Everything

When you're popping a pimple, there's couple things you need to make sure you do. You should use a Q tip that's been sanitized. What I do is put hydrogen peroxide on the q tip, pop the pimple, then gently rub it with another q tip with hydrogen peroxide on it. Also, you should only pop pimples that have yellow pus on the end. Don't touch or pop it if it doesn't, you're most likely to make it worse.

 Tip 5
Drink Lots of Water

Water is very helpful. Of course, it's not going to magically make your acne disappear,
but it's a lot of help if you want your acne scar away. I suggest drinking about 8 full cups of water everyday. It's healthy for your skin and body. Make a habit of drinking lots of water and it will help you!
Less soda, more water.

 Tip 6
Green Tea For Your Skin

Green tea teabags are effective when it comes to calming redness and blemishes. First, make a tea with the green tea teabag. Drink the tea. When you're done, squeeze about 70% of the water on the tea bag. Then put in refrigerator until it's cool. Take it out and put it on your cheeks (or anywhere else you want. it's only an example, since that's where I put mine.) Leave it on and flip it to the other side if it gets warm. 20~30 minutes seems like enough time to leave it on. It won't take effect if you only do it once or twice. It does help in calming redness on your face.

I hope these helped~ I came by a little earlier than I planned for you all!
I am assuming I probably won't be here for another week because of studying for finals,
so I didn't want to let you guys down on the promise that I'll be back in 2014!
(Although I haven't said when in 2014, lmao.)
When I'm back from the finals, I'll be back with a couple makeup tutorials so stick with me
